2013 is hopefully becoming less of a mystery as we approach the end of 2012. According to this schedule, which conforms to what we have been hearing from Hastings and other rumor mongers, Dark Angels are up next, followed by Daemons, Tau, and Eldar later in the year.

New HQ

New HQ I made for one of my 2000pt listes.
I took a burst cannon and put the barrels of 2 plasma rifles on it to show twin linked. Also the head if a drone as a shield.

Well as I have stated before the league is, 2 people at 1000pts each or one person at 2000pts. I was playing with another Tau player but he had to go to Los Vegas for work. So I'm going to run 2000pts army. I made 2 lists. One has 14 battle suits. I only own 13 BS. I ordered another one but just in case if it douse not come in I made another list.

Times are a changing

I've decided to change my blog from just Tau to all things 40K. The reason is that my GF is getting in to 40K and I will be posting stuff about her CSM army. Also I have 2 other army's in the making; Dark Angels and Space Wolfs. I also changed the URL to seejay40k.blogspot.com because tau40kforthegreatergood.blogspot.com was way to long and hard to remember.

So my beloved GF wants to play 40K with me. She looked at all the army's and liked Demons. So I did some looking around and found out it a hard army to start with. So she liked the gross looking Demons. I convinced her to start a CSM Nurgle army. I ordered Typhus for her. This is the list I'm thing about;

Tau FTW

So I don't win much, playing Tau and all, but when I do most of the time its a crushing win. I do feel bad about winning last night. This is only the 2nd time iv done this well. The 1st time I tabled a Necron army on turn 2. This time we destroyed almost half is army with our alpha strike. To get the full report go here.

This week we are starting our league at the good ol' fantasy books and games, and we are doing a two headed general/giant. Games will be 2000pts done with one of the following two methods:

-Tau are coming early next year.
-Unit profiles are being finalized.
-The Tau are looking more and more like it will utilize and potentially modify the allies feature.
-unique fortifications.

-Just info on rules, no idea on models:
-HQ option to make crisis suits troops (not a special character, just an upgrade)
-crisis suits remain roughly the same but have a couple new weapon options.
-New 1-per-squad weapons
-new heavy support suit that has stats like a carnifex and no jet pack, just a big mech
-new elite suit that has a lot of sub 18" gun options, with a high rate of fire, or low AP.  High toughness and -good armour save at a minor loss of mobility (think jump pack instead of jet pack)
-two flyers, one for AtA one for AtG (same basic fuselage)
-fire warriors are a little bit better and have more of a stormtrooper / commando feel, than a rank and file guardsman feel.

-oh and one of the other things right now, I was able to confirm that the current playtest is that firewarriors who do not move in the movement phase may immediately run after firing their pulse carbines in the shooting phase.

This weekend i worked on Farsight and his bodyguards. Before I started this weekend only the red was there. I added black to the joints and hands.

Zoom Zoom I hate you

Ok so last night was our Thursday night 40k league and i was going to make a battle report but i forgot. But it sort of went like this. I played against a Necron army.  First round it was night. Not much happened. I had some black sun filters. I killed a fue scarabs and some of the troops but they just got back up. The game went back and forth until her 2 flyers came in and it was over. I hate flyers. I think that at the moment it is unfair for the armys that don't have any flyers. Its so hard to combat them.

Well I got the base coat on 6 crisis battlesuits, 3 broadsides and started painting farsight. I probably would have gotten more done if I would not have gotten distracted by facebook and the Olympics.

Well here is my 1st post. I started this blog because I love my Tau. Current projects I'm working on are a Tau Aegis Defence Line and a Tau bastion. I will post some pics later and as things progress.
